Now in its 63nd year, the unparalleled Rochester Symphony Orchestra continues to be proud of its role as a major contributor to the robust cultural and arts environment in our community. Because of their presence, the greater Rochester area is a more pleasant place in which to live, work, and visit. With their vision of excellence, the dedication of conductors, professional musicians, and the generous support of our community, have made these last 63 years possible. Because ticket sales alone are insufficient to cover the entire cost of the Rochester Symphony Orchestra’s concerts, the RSO depends upon sponsorships from businesses and individuals throughout the community. Sponsorships are available to fit a wide variety of needs and budgets.
This Giving Tuesday, the RSO’s Performance Partner Annual Fund drive is the RSO’s top giving priority. Since the proceeds directly support day to day operation of the RSO, the gap between ticket sales and expenses is lessened. When you give to support the RSO, it is you who puts the music in our community. We need your financial support to keep the music playing. Please donate today by visiting us at: https://www.rochestersymphony.com/donations/donation-form/ or by calling the Rochester Symphony at 248-651-4181. The RSO is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Gifts to the Rochester Symphony Orchestra qualify as tax deductible contributions pursuant to the rules and regulations of the Internal Revenue Code.
In addition to the spectacular concert performances which often feature acclaimed guest artists and soloists, the RSO also conducts educational and outreach programs in the community. One such program is the annual Young Artist Competition, which the orchestra has held since 1982. The program provides an opportunity for aspiring young musicians to compete for both a cash scholarship award and a solo performance with the Rochester Symphony Orchestra.
The mission of the Rochester Symphony Orchestra is to enrich the cultural experiences available in the Greater Rochester area through excellence in symphonic music. We hope you will consider being a Performance Partner today because every gift makes a difference. Help keep the music alive in our community.
With gratitude,
Jerry Tschura
Rochester Symphony Orchestra Board President
P.S. Don’t forget to join us for the Holiday Concert on December 13, and remember to bring an unwrapped toy to support the United States Marine Corps and their Toys for Tots program.
